1. Go for the vintage theme.
Vintage means old and using the old theme gives you leeway to recycle. From wedding dress to decorations, you can use things that you already own to grace up your wedding day. You can borrow your mother’s cherished wedding gown if it fits you. You can use old decorations to make your vintage themed wedding feel authentic. This idea is not only unique – it also allows you to save twice as much.
2. Cut the size of your wedding.
Big weddings are big expenses. Why not limit your number of guests down to 20 so you don’t have to rent a big place and serve large quantities of food and wine? Furthermore, smaller weddings are more intimate. That’s also one way saying more memorable.

6. How about your own lawn for the reception?
You surely want to hold the wedding reception some place else so you wouldn’t have to worry about cleaning up after your guests. But that’s exactly why reception halls charge so much. If you can’t use your own lawn for this purpose, why not use your mother’s or your brother’s instead? Surely, if you can promise them to send in the cleaners after the party, they wouldn’t mind it so much. Tell them you’ll take it as their gift to you.
